A Home tab is a great way to brand your mobile application to your business. With the custom image immediately appearing, it adds a nice professional look to your mobile application when the user first loads it. We recommend placing your Home tab in the first spot on your TabBar, so it appears first when your application is loaded.
You do not have to have a Home tab but it is highly recommended!
The best way to create a Home Tab is to Create a "Slider" and upload images/graphics sized 1280 x 1468 and use those for the home tab. (More information here: https://roar.zendesk.com/entries/26679637-Using-a-Slider-for-your-Home-Screen) This will help tremendously in the approval process with Apple. Apple loves to see high quality graphics and slider navigation in apps and this is a great home page function.
It will add aesthetically to your app and but also add great functionality.
