Using Facebook Photo Stream in Your App Print

  • 98

At this time, we do not offer support for adding your Facebook photo stream into your app BUT there is a workaround that will allow you to continue to use your Facebook photos without having to upload them twice.

First, you will need to have either an Instagram account or a Flickr account for this to work. You will need your username and password available.

Next, you will need to set up an account at IFTTT.com. This is a site that allows you to do simple automations so you are not duplicating tasks.

Once you have your account set up, click add recipe and search for a recipe that posts a picture to Flickr (or Instagram) every time you post a picture to your Facebook page. You will need to authorize IFTTT to have access to your Flickr (or Instagram) and your Facebook page by entering your username and password for each.

Once this is set up, just follow the prompts to activate that recipe.

Now, using the Photos module, add your Flickr (or Instagram) feed url and add the module into your app. Whenever you add a photo to Facebook, it will also add that photo to your Flickr (or Instagram) and that photo will show in the app.
